Richmond Porsche Meet (RPM), Friday 6-10 thru Sunday 6-12 (Reg. ends tomorrow)
Sorry for the late notice, folks... I've had my head in the mountains.
The Shenandoah Valley PCA is hosting the 15th annual Ricmond Porsche Meet this weekend!
LINK for general info and lots of pics of years past.
This is a great event and draws some fantastic Porsches!
Saturday's portion of the event is set at Dr. Faunce's ('90 GT) home on the James River.
Great setting with lots of shade. I'll be there with my wife and kid. Hope to see you there too!

Join the Shenandoah Region for an enjoyable weekend June 10-12 in historic Richmond, VA.
Friday-evening participants will gather to prep their cars at Dave’s Auto Spa for the upcoming festivities and hang out and “kick the tires” at Euroclassics Porsche.
On Saturday, we will host a tops-only concours along the banks of the scenic James River that will conclude with a catered lunch at our famous “Café Carrera.
Afterward, we will have a short gimmick rally/fun drive to one of Richmond’s well-known destinations, an informative tech session, and an awards dinner banquet
with featured speaker Ms. Connie Nyholm, co-owner and developer of Virginia International Raceway.
We will complete the weekend with an autocross on the 1/3-mile banked oval track at Southside Speedway, with an optional boxed lunch.
All Porsche enthusiasts are welcome! Check the Shenandoah web site at http://shn.pca.org/ for registration and further information.
Questions? Contact Alex Smith at (804) 323-1559 or asmith@collegiate-va.org or Sherry Westfall at (434) 295-3955 or vscapes@cstone.net.

This year's 17th Annual RPM set for May 31 to June 2 in Richmond, VA
http://shn.pca.org/index.php#RPM13
I've never attended a Porsche event in the nearly 10yrs I've owned my 928 -- but now retired, am anxious to see examples of some of the nicer 928s and other Porsches in this area.

Not sure yet. That's SITM weekend BTW, which I don't think I'm going to make this year.
I have another event I've comitted to on 9 Jun in Williamsburg and am signed up for the Parade concours in Traverse City 23-29 June.
I just started an intake refresh and have some paint/body issues to address before Parade, so if those projects are finished, I'll probably be at RPM. If not, I'll go nowhere with the 928 before Parade.
How's that for a firm comittment?

Oh geeze, thank for the SITM tip. Okay, so I won't be going to this event because I'll be at SITM.
How that for firm?

Re: other 928's in the area, I'm in Williamsburg, too. Just bought-back my '89 S4 sixteen years after having sold it in NY. I have a bunch of work to do on the car, but would love to make this event. I'll send you a private message...

Yes, they are still being held. This year’s will be June 1-3. I have never been to one before, but will try to attend this year.

RPM is a very nice, low key event.
Shenandoah PCA changed the location a couple of years ago to the Virginia Crossings Hotel and Convention Center. It used to be a Wyndham, but looks like it's a Hilton property now. I assume it will be there again since their calendar says "Glen Allen", which is where the hotel is.
For many years it was held at someone's house, which was nice, but if you stay at the host location now, having your room a minute walk away is kinda nice.
I'll see some Shenandoah folks this weekend at the Zone 2 President's meeting and can ask.
I missed it last year, but here's the registration page from 2016. My GT did make the cover of the brochure though... quite an honor.
