SITM 2011 Beech Mountain Pictures
Shots around the parking lot on Saturday morning...
(Please PM me if I need to "rub-out" a license plate you would rather not have posted and I'll remove.)
Great to see old friends and make new! 928 owners are the best!

There were at least 3 cars for sale at the event. Perhaps 4. Pretty sure if you posted a thread asking "Who all took a car for sale to SITM 2011?" you'd get some quick responses... I know one was up from Atlanta, another down from Virginia.
I think turn out was slightly lower than last year... I saw a couple of open parking spaces and we definitely didn't have that last year.

I was talking to Rod the owner and I may have convinced him to keep it. It is still a LOT of 928 for the money. And it needs to be driven to be appreciated.

That was Dr Jerry's car. He has owned a 90 GT since new and it was down for AC work that could not be completed in time for SITM. He drove up and stayed at the Best Western and attended all the events anyway.
Tough decision though, drive my 07 Carrera cab 4S into the mountains for 3 days of fun or stay home......I would have struggled with that one as well.

As long as I could keep my momentum up going up was not too bad for my half throttle car. Going down and back home no problems. I wish I could have attended Sunday and got my hands on some of those parts deals. I have a new strategy of pulling the plugs after running the car and adjusting the ports on the FD on the plugs that look suspicious. Here's what they looked like after SITM trip. I will turn the fuel back on ports for 1,6 and 8 and recheck later. I think those are getting too much fuel. Gunar----- 1,2,3,4 on the left and 5,6,7,8 on the right
