JPR,

I made a new short shifter for the 928. It reduces the throw around 65% of factory.
It also has near zero play. It is a VERY direct shifter.

Look at my signature, this is what one member thought about it.

It is for sale through Rog100 (username here), 928srus.com
Now it does also remove the front shift rod eliminating two failure points.
From what you are saying, this is the shifter that you want in your car.

Most of the sporty german cars I have driven do you allow you to go into 1st until you are either at a stop of moving very slow.

OK, Colin. Thanks for this info too. Unfortunately, we first have to get a 928 GT before we start thinking about upgrading! That having been said, we are on track to get driving by 1. August!
