My only point is that several other members, over the years, have been banned for marketing their business (even if it's a side business) here...WITHOUT paying a sponsorship fee.
Low Miler bought and sold 928's. Sometimes he would even pass along information on deals that he found. Oftentimes, he would present a vehicle here before he marketed it to the general public. It was a nice service for us members (in my opinion)...problem is...it's against the site rules.
You seem to buy and sell 928's, as well. However, you don't even offer them here first. You just add this to your list of places that you market your vehicles that are for sale. You're not passing along info on deals you've seen....you just buy and resell cars.
Do you understand the difference?
I'm done picking on you, Don. It's not my fight. Just a pet peeve. I'll go back the bleachers and enjoy myself from there.

WOW, you guys......
Sure, I'll sponsor......All it takes is money right.......
You know, I came across a nice find from someone who was in need to sell their car to save their house. I don’t want it, I bought it because it’s solid. 2,500.00 That’s nothing. If anybody here wants the car fine, if not fine too. At the price, I will have no trouble getting rid of it. You all help me here so I let you know about it. Why all the fuss.
Let’s get another thing straight. I am no car salesman. I am almost retired and like to buy Porsche's and fix them up for something to keep me busy. I present a good running car at a decent price. Some people believe it our not want to purchase these cars but can’t work on them.
Thank you
Donald

BTW, I do think that your '85 looks like a fun project. I hope it's as described, and a Rennlister picks it up.

You're missing the point. I don't think that anyone actually wants you to become a sponsor. Your best bet is to participate as a 928 owner and keep the car flipping business separate. You'll take a beating otherwise. If you haven't noticed there are no 928 flippers or used car dealers who actively participate on this forum. There have been in the past...

Looks like we have a gentlemen agreement. Once clear title is in sellers hand about 10 days, I will put a deposit down and pick the car up and drive it back to Virginia. If someone decides to deposit without waiting for title to arrive to seller, then it will go to that buyer. Working for a legal organization this is a no no.
Hopefully this shark will feed in Richmond

Congrats on your new car, Keep em flying!
Why dont you put down a deposit with the stipulation of a clear title must be rendered for full payment ,
and if title isnt offered then the deposit is refunded send 100.00 bux?

Not sure I understand. If Donald is the seller, and he offered it here to Rennlisters first, and you agreed to buy it pending getting the title, then why would he let it go to someone else who might later intervene and make a deposit without having the title?

Because he is here to sell cars.....

I have offered a conditional deposit of 100 as suggested by Mr Merlin via paypal. Donald doesn't do paypal and to set up a transfer and get the money without wire fees would take more than 10 days.
Donald says the title will be in his hands in 10 days. If he is a stand up guy (Which I believe him to be.) I will go to NY with Cashiers check and drive the car back hopefully around the 17th.

I don't think he will accept another offer unless the offer is far more than his asking price. If he does, he has every right to do so given our agreement.

The first will be my practice car. A 97 Nissan. (I have some body work to do on it first) Once I'm comfortable with the product I'll wrap the P cars with finishes that can't be brought back. I would prefer do what Dean did with Marvin, but I don't have the skills to pull that off.
