I saw something about a coil over kit on Pelican 928 using Carrera brand shocks. Anyone know more about that set-up?

I know of one kit that Mark Robinson has done, but I am not happy with the upper perch he's developed. Not that it doesn't work, but I want a bit stronger set up that integrates with the stock upper assembly.

A few have done that and I know Roger is working on a set up. A couple of R-listers have assisted in putting together a damn good kit, it's just a matter of having the time to put several sets together and then work out the kinks, and still keep the price reasonable.

A fun data point, for you, independant of this thread, Doc:
I "sat" in on Berkeley's ceremony for graduating "Phd" students and listened to the "genius" ecconomists tell us, in detail, how the recession is over. One idiot, in particular, who had just returned from Washington, where she had been for two years working daily with Obama (no names), gave a 20 minute speech on how they had saved the ecconomy. What a crock.
Somehow, they failed to tell the "working class" of people in the US that it is over.
When you remove the second and third highest costs to the public (food and energy costs) from the CPI, it is hard to tell what the individual person is suffering through. Borrow money with one hand and print more money with the other...there's a good solution.
Obviously, the national debt is way too high to ever be payed back by the current values of our currency. The current monetary policy will, however, make it possible to pay back this debt. Rampant inflation will do it.
So here's my real question to you....what is the model for a severe recession combined with a huge amount of inflation, at the same time? Germany, after the First War, comes to mind. More recently, the Soviet Union's financial mess, leading to their downfall seems close.
Buy gold and silver? Seems to be the trend.

This is the limit of my free advice, which you really didn't need anyway. As for the shock market, there is no market recompense for the limited run of special shocks, either for the 928 or the Lamborghini Espada(as I found out). We are a specie of our own, and anything Bilstein does for us is purely as a function of customer good will.
Now, as it relates to Rogers' business model, I think he's the entrepreneur's entrepreneur. Runs a successful business with limited overhead, and great customer reviews. If anything, it makes his competitors better by selling at competitive prices, and service. This is all goodness for me, and you, and anyone with an abiding love for our marque. If we can keep more of these cars on the road, more of them will need services, and parts and that's gotta be a good thing for all involved.
Once again the world is spinning in greased grooves, and all is well in 928 land.
<edit; yes I have been imbibing from the fruit of the gods, such as they are>

Money is a construct, a belief system in a way, that functions as a transfer mechanism that is easier than bartering. It has no value in and of itself. That's why I never get the point of the robber barons in the past and todays billionaires who still try to screw people for every last cent they can even as they approach the end of their lives.
The weimar republic referenced earlier had the hyper-inflation because people had lost faith in the "belief system" that those marks represented. People had no faith so they tried dumping those marks as soon as possible. Hyper-inflation is caused by the speed at which money is exchanged.
Let me ask what good is gold? Can you eat it? Can you live in it? ........ It is just metal that some people have FAITH in. Kinda weird. Try buying something tomorrow at your grocery store with your shiny gold.
We are fortunate to have all the necessary raw materials within the borders of the USA to live very well. For that reason faith should always survive. But we do need to vote better and to tackle some tough problems. All doable with the right leaders.
but say armeggedon happens, do you want to own a field of potatoes or a pile of shiny metal?

I do have a few pounds () of smokeless to go through first, plus a few loaded rounds and other stuff.
