Default Brown w/yellow wire by handbrake = ???

Well, I am still tracing the wiring from the PO's aftermarket alarm. I originally thought that one of the wires from the brain went to my CWS, but on closer inspection, I found that it snaked around behind it and went under the carpeting. The wire ran under the carpet to the carpeted handbrake area, and was spliced into a brown wire with a yellow tracer right under the wiring by the handbrake.

Any ideas what that would be??

I have taken everything out and the car started just fine and I let it sit and idle for 10 minutes without any problems. I can't take it for a drive right now because I have been doing some other things that needed doing. But as far as I can tell...everything is working with this wire clipped.

Too late Randy! Apparently my ejection seat capabilities got screwed up when they put in this stinking "bottom of the barrel" alarm system!!

I thought that it would be a ground since it was brown, but the alarm already went to a ground up underneath the dash, and they went to a lot of trouble to run that wire to a ground?? I guess I will run back out with the DVM and see if it is indeed a ground.

Solid brown is a ground bolted to the body/chassis/engine at a "Masse Point" (MP in the manual).

Brown with a stripe is a switched ground to do something.

Default Thought that

I thought that was one of the fibre optic patches from the dilithium crystal resevoir to the flux capacitor diffuser control head thingy.

Have to check the diagram again......
