I,m currently waiting for a new Odo gear wheel from Roger, and while the binnacle is out I,m doing some WYAIT jobs.
When I removed the pod I noticed this connector plug I did not remove it from anything as by it,s size etc, you would know you had, it just seemed to appear when I pulled the pod, anyone know what it,s for, I can,t find anywhere it would connect.
SORRY ABOUT THE HUGE PICTURE, from my cell phone.

As I said previously, you would have to physically pull a plug like that apart, which makes me think it was just hanging in there all the time ?

Thank,s Lizard, got twin rear fogs fitted, although I remember removing the plug for them, so guess it,s something else ? it is the same size as those plugs on the hazard, light switch, and the headlight/side switch etc.

..., thank,s for the replies , all wires that go in are brown when I can locate a multi-meter and battery back on, I,ll check and see if there,s life in the plug.
But I think it does seem, this is an "extra" plug for some other configuration / specification ?

USA Trip Odo Reset is a push switch on the left side of the pod. Wires to it should be:

Brown with white stripe
Black with blue stripe.

So to summarise, it does seem to be the original feed to the odometer ?

As Wally said most likely he ODO reset...and on most Euro Spec cars that connector is taped up, as the Euro Rear Foglight Switch is used in that location instead. In early US spec this connector is taped up instead of the ODO Reset switch, hence the reason for 2 of those connectors, one of which is not typically used.
The "Euro" ODO reset is then operated by a small push button switch UNDER the left side of the pod, similar to the Intensive Washer Switch (if equipped) on the right side under the Pod.
