It's raining here also and the weather map seems to indicate the same east of here over the mountains. However, most often when it is raining here it is snowing in the mountains. This time of year that is not really too bad, but can be very slushly on the highway. With the wide footprint oy your 928 it might tend to be real loose over the road.

One thought I have for you is that from where you are you may want to detour south off of I70 to Moab UT and then straight south to the interstate in Northern AZ which I think is I40. Then more straight east toward home.

I talked with Andy just after that last post and I think he decided to stay with his original "flight plan." I am not too sure about any snow in the mountains, but he is very likely to at least be driving in rain just about all day out into Kansas, which is his intended route.

If he is able to take the time to stop here briefly I suspect it will be about 9:00, or in about an hour. If he does stop and I have a chance I'll take some pictures of his nice car and post them for him.

Georgetown looks to be getting snow today, hope he makes Eisenhower before anything nasty shows up. Maybe Andy should take 6 if it's nice.

Andy made it to here by about 9:30 this morning and we got to meet and spend about an hour visiting and getting acquainted. His car is JFB!!! He just left and is on his way back to I 70 and heading for the divide. I'm pretty sure he will stick with the tunnel and is not likely to even know about the alternate over Loveland Pass on 6.

Here are a few pictures of him and his nice car.

Hey Jerry,
Good to meet you today. Thanks for the spare tire cover and the pics! It's about 9 and I just pulled in to Ellis, KS. I saw all kinds of weather today: snow. rain, wind and then it turned beautiful. Will post pics later. Time for some dinner!

Awesome guys, looks fantastic.

Jerry, why is one S4 holding the other S4 in the driveway? Is this the new park assist I keep hearing about?

Well it's Saturday morning, the final day of the road trip. Thanks to all the guys in the Denver area for there offers. Sorry I missed the party.

Sean, can we check these brakes? There's a bit of vibration so I tried not to use them in the mountains.

That excuse didn't work with CO's finest. Yes, I got busted coasting in a down hill drop just west of Denver. As I pulled away, with ticket in hand, I checked the rear view mirror and saw THREE others who got pulled over too. Guys, I was COASTING ... down a hill! Kicked myself for the next few hours, gas mileage increased to 24+.

OK ... on to Dallas where it's going to be 91 degrees, a far cry from 32 in Vail yesterday!

Sounds like you were on Floyds Hill, major speed trap there and dangerous as hell when they do it.

I'll check the brakes on Sunday when you come over, no problem.

Andy, I think the back of your ticket says that if you pay it within 20 days they will keep the money but give you only half of the points. It may also be worth your while to call the court and see what their best deal is to pay them over the counter. Sometimes it is a better deal in both points and money. That is assuming that you have been given a ticket for a "Traffic Infraction." That is different from an "Offense" which would be easy to get in a 928. I think the infraction is up to about 25 over. Look on the front of the ticket and see which is checked.

Call me if you want some further advise about it of if I can help with it.

Sean, I think it is more like the frog sex that I have seen somewhere else on this forum, I think. Ask Andy about the litter of offspring he saw in back of my house. Jerry

Almost exactly, but more refined, of course.

HOME! Got in about an hour ago. My son pulled in right behind me ... THAT'S SICK! was all he could say. Adrienne showed up about 30 minutes later ... THAT'S BEAUTIFUL was her reaction. With help from the teenager, I will post pics tonight. Now it's time for a bath and some TLC. I'm referring to the car, not me!

Default Meeting Richard Griot at Griot's Garage

I've been a Griot Garage customer for 10 years so meeting Richard today was a real treat for me. We're standing in front of his new 44,000 sq. ft. facility in Tacoma, WA. Richard is a huge car guy and loves Porsches. I think I counted six, including an early 911, a 930, a 935 and a race car that looks like it belongs in the 24 hours of Daytona. If you're ever in Tacoma, you have to stop by.
