Default CIS fuel distrib. individual fuel line adjustment HELP..Fixed?

I am tracking down a problem with my 82 Euro S that I have refreshed. It has not run right since I got it started the first time and I think I have traced it to different flow rates in the fuel injector lines from the fuel distributor. I am getting about half the volume in 4 lines(compared to the other 4) that I would like to increase the flow rate on. I have cleaned and rebuilt the fuel distrib. and replaced the diaphragm in it but the problem persists. I noticed these caps by the fuel heads. If I take the allen cap off there is an allen adjustment underneath. Does any one know how this is adjusted? Which way do you turn it to increase flow to that line output? Thanks- Gunar

I have an '82 Euro S and my fuel distributor doesn't look like yours (no adjustments). Yours looks to me like a Mercedes fuel distributor.

Here's a standard Euro S fuel distributor.

Edit: Original equipment on my 82S Australian delivered July build. 84's here were LH

I used them to equalize the flow to each injector. With much trial and error and a lot of wasted fuel I have them flowing evenly. This may have been my"no power under load "problem as several cylinders were only getting half the fuel of the others. I will check in when I get it back together. Gunar

This will be interesting.
Hope it works for you, Gunar.

here is my scratch sheet- each row represents a test session of putting containers under each fuel line, jumpering the pump and holding the air plate down for a 12 count or more then measuring the individual amounts. I worked from the bottom of the scratch paper up and changed around some fuel lines on the way just to be sure it wasn't the line causing the low flow. The top row are the final results after a 15 count and pushing the plate with random pressure. 7 lines at 60cc and 1 at 57cc.

Yous IS a proper Euro S fuel distributor, I've messed with quite a few of these and do not like them at all.

I think Porsche just popped whatever one it had in stock that day to our early cars.

Edit to add pic.

82 Euro S on left, 84 Euro middle, 79 US on right.

It didn't fix it ...now it just sputters and won't rev. Maybe not getting enough fuel now. I have tried the A/F adjustment with no success. I am getting so tired of this.

No 84 ROW (or euro as you call it) had a fuel distributor. They were LH-jetronic.

Under each fuel line or injector?

This session was flow under the fuel line(unscrewed from injector). I noticed the streams looked different is what led to it.

what should I do now? I am thinking about turning it back to where they were because it ran better then. Maybe the ones that were really flowing were the only ones with high enough pressure to run the car and now they all don't have high enough pressure. I guess I should do a volume and spray pattern check with the injectors in the containers.
