Cayman S 18" wheels on a 928...
So, I've been toying with moving up to 18" wheels.
I really like the Cayman S wheels...But I'm a bit concerned after reading some threads on this that I might be fighting some offset issues.I see comments about the 928 lugs being too long. Can they be spaced to fit our cars without rolling the fenders?
Anyone have any direct experience with the fitment of these wheels on an S4 or GT?
FRONT WHEELS SIZE : 8J X 18 ET57
REAR WHEELS SIZE : 9J X18 ET43

It's these:

There is a thread on here about someone installing them and they fit well. Fronts are no problem. Rears should fit ok too, even better with a 6mm spacer and should not affect studs at all.

I was reading in one thread that the original aluminum lug nuts were too shallow with these wheels... But I'm already not using those, so should be ok...
I assume most of of our supporting 928 suppliers have spacers?

Hard to imagine that since original nuts are deep enough to mount 15mm spacers which have thinnest possible mounting area. Thinner than any wheels I have ever seen. In cases where rear hub has factory 21mm spacer studs are longer and mounting practically any wheel without spacer will cause problem. Open end nuts are cheaper than stock nuts anyway so even removing 21mm spacer is not real issue as long as studs have enough thread in them.

I fear I don't have the stones for that...

So, I picked up a "PERFECT" set of wheels off a 2008 Cayman S.
I swear, they look like they were never even mounted on a car! And they came shipped with original packaging.
I'm wearing out the current Yokohama ES100 x 16's on D90's this summer and looking to mount these over the winter.
Now... Do I have to replace the original mirrors with aero mirrors to complete the update?

I love those wheels, just wish they were wider.
