Default PSD delete

Hi there,

Since the PSD unit in my 90' GT is not working, I was thinking of deleting the unit and go with a ''bolt'' to set a fixed differetial lock %.

In conjunction with this project, I have a couple of questions:

-Is there a way to get rid of the ''Diff Control Off'' message in the digital display? It seems there are solutions out there for the RDK and Light module, but I cannot find anything for the Diff control.

-Does anyone have the ''template'' for the holderplate / nut / bolt to be manufactured to place on the diff to set the fixed locking %

any input appreciated!

Cheers!

The PSD "bolt" as such doesn't work. Don't ask me how I know You are better off fixing the PSD as it is quite an advanced system or replacing it with an LSD. I'll let others chime in before going into more detail. What is the problem with the PSD on your car?

The problem is the pump. It does not pump (build pressure) Been trying all the bleeding procedures.

Buying a new unit (cost an arm and a leg) is out of the question. Been looking for a used unit, but no success.

I see you are in Spain, have you tried Douglas Valley Breakers in the UK? Might be a bit corroded form the UK or if POrken responds he found they use the same pump in a Jag. Don't know which one.

Havent contacted Douglas Valley. Usually underbodyparts from the UK are badly corroded.. (as you say)

Interesting about the (jag)pump....... Any more info on this?

Interesting news. (but I guess just the shipping costs would be astronomical)

Another possibility from Spain: The JDSPorsche agent in Germany also lists PSD repair on their website: http://www.stein-aviation.de/html/psd_engl.html

The rebuilt PSD is about $1600 and I sell them in the USA for Stein. I am sure Harald will sort you out - his service is excellent. He even has a test rig set up to test the PSD.
