Default Realistic performance expectations?

Hey guy's I'm looking for some advice on what to expect for performance on my latest project. I have an MY 82 US 4.5 L jet 5 sp G28-03 2.73 LS with a powerdyne bd11a 6psi SC and a 928 MS water to air intercooler with a front mounted heat exchanger. Stock exhaust. porkensioner. 175 psi compression cold across the board. What kind of performance can I expect? I've driven the car about 75 miles so far but am cautious to really get in to it yet. stock timing setting . Fear of detonation. Dont want to blow up my toy! Where to go from here? Advice, Opinions, Verbal thrashing! All would be appreciated

Some dogs want steak, yours looks like he needs pain meds.

The verbal trashing crew does not come on until after happy hour.

As far as your other issues, I can not help.

It may be possible to install knock sensors in the car. It will at least give you peace of mind. I think there are (unfortunately blingy) knock count gauges out there which might be of service. I don't know anything about the early cars, so I wouldn't know where to begin. You can also benefit from installing a WBO2 sensor in your exhaust and reading that on a gauge as well. Even though you can't use the sharktuner (I don't think you can anyway), it would still be helpful, methinks. I'd just keep it rich all the time. Problem solved.

A good start is to dyno your 82 BEFORE the supercharger install...this will give you a great baseline to use later..... Since you have great compression, chances are its strong....somewhere around 200whp is likely, depending on your exhaust..... 6 psi should gain at least another 100whp....possibly 150whp.... In the end you will have a VERY powerful 928.....

Think 0-60 in mid 5s, quarter mile in flat 14, and add around a 100hp to standard.

At least that is what 7 psi did to mine.

Too late . The sc was installed before the fedex guy was out of the drive. I have no control over these type of reactions.

I would have borrowed/rentea a broadband O2-sensor and kept an eye on air/fuel ratio while gradually pushing the engine harder.

That would be a mistake and a common error. Just because your AFR is good does not mean your ignition timing isn't too advanced and you are not experiencing detonation. I personally would not run a boosted 928 without a knock sensing mechanism.

Patience young grasshopper... you'll find plenty of useful tips, do's & dont's, and mods from the S/C guys here. Take advantage of their time and experience to fine tune their own systems and you will come out ahead.

That is especially true if your S/C kit is second hand... you DO NOT want to find out the hard way that a small but critical component was missing!

Best of luck!

Grasshopper needs more patience! I've been working on this project for 20 months now. Almost done . The SC kit is from 928 ms {second hand from a gent in canada who installed it on his wifes car.She drove it once and made him remove it.] 3k. The IC is from 928MS also.I built the FMIC my self. I've only driven the car about 75 miles so far. The L jet seems kinda stuttery with SC and rising rate fuel pressure regulator. I wonder if mega squirt might be a better option? Already have a flywheel from MY 85 with tone ring. Sensor bung on block also. What do Y'all Think?

How are your injectors just out of curiousity? Are they still the originals or did you pick up a new set from Carl?

Original injectors . Cleaned at the local diesel shop. All new fuel lines front to back.

Do you have a wideband O2 kit you can throw in the car to see what it is doing?

If not, I would get something like the Innovate MTX-L.
