Wow Paul, you made out like a bandit. Beautiful car!

Thanks OG. If you have a need to pull a console side cover sometime, what would help most is a pic of the cover rear, and how (and where) the carpet below the cover is located/attached . My carpet is all black, and as long as I vacuum all the lint and stuff off, the colour hides a multitude of sins. The lower part is floppy soft fabric, whose lower edge goes under the floor carpet, but the upper is just tucked into the side of the tunnel and up under the cover piece (if still there). If the cover is off, getting its retaining screws back in is a nightmare, trying to get the LONG screws to find their clips through the bottom fabric.
I guess the most useful would be a fairly close in shot of the RHS of the console with the upper cover removed. I will try to get one of my LHS (RHD car) so you can see what I am dealing with. Your RHS cover has a slot in it for the parcel tray mounting bracket? It seems to go a lot further forward past the edge of the tray than mine?
tks

Pole cat, The back is not in what I would call linebacker shape.
I mowed the yard yesterday and suffered some terrible spasms
last nite. I am scheduled for a discogram in two weeks. which will lead
to surgery.
