Default %*&$*&^%# !!! Thoughts (& Help) Requested

OK,
Car ran fine yesterday, did a highway trip for about 250 miles - ran great. Today, went for a run for about 20 miles, same drill.

Then, out of the blue, about 30 mph, car dies. Starts (barely) and idles for a couple of seconds and quits. Fuel rail shows about 25 lbs. Fuel pump was a new Porsche/Bosche unit dealer installed unit about 10k back, (Two seasons). (Caught me off-guard and out-of town).

Any thoughts before I call for a flat bed???

TIA !

It is possible that one of three relays have failed....fuel pump, LH brain and ignition. Your horn relay is the same has #53 on it . So try the horn if it toots then use that good relay to one by one replace the other relays. Then call the tow truck.

Default Sean,

Thanks for coming in on short notice!
CPS is new last year with the top end refresh.
Any thoughts on which fuse/relay I'm gonna be checking?
I have the manuals, but no time......

dont forget to also include the ignition relay so there are 4 to swap.
I have seen a few cases where the other 3 didnt make any changes and the IG relay was bad.
Thats relay X its a 53 relay

Default No,

Hey Imre,

No, I don't have an explanation for the issue. A couple of resets (Battery Disconnects) and some run time and it settled, so, I had assumed that some humidity had created some problem somewhere and the running and resets had corrected the problem.

Gave up tonight and towed it home BTW. I'll have to sort it out later. More strangeness too. The "Low Oil" indicator is coming on the dash, and it isn't..??

I'm beginning to suspect that the LH is screwed up.
