Default Binder question (Brakes)

What kind of binders are behind those gold anodized wheels I have? They look pretty darn simple. It looks like the one piston caliper from a BMW. Plus they arent painted with Porsche across them. What are those puppies behind the curtain? Is that an upgrade area?

When Did Porsche start painting brakes? Was it before 1982? So many questions so little money.

No need to upgrade the brakes except for looks.....Porsche started painting them on 928s in 1986...black ! Then when Turbo 911s got red paint calipers became fashion statements. Your car should stop just fine even at the track but you will need to adjust for no ABS.

SO what are they? 4 piston or one piston? Heck GT3s come with 6 piston calipers on the front with ceramic rotors (PCCB). The rest of the cars are coming with 4 piston steel. So whats on the front of this 82? I noticed the pervious owner put on slotted rotors instead of the drilled rotors we are used to seeing.
