The smoke after a couple weeks of non driving is a Porsche trait. I dont know of any Porsche that DOESNT do that, including the newest 911s.

More info that I missed.

There are a few cracks in the dash cover, I realize now they cant be seen in the photos, but its not that bad, they havent buckeled or anything. Ill get some pix of them.

I got the car 5 years ago and removed the weather strip, I replaced the warped rear bumper and repainted the car its original Diamond silver blue metalic. Thats why it looks so good, the paint is 5 or years old.

Do you mean that you removed the rub strips?

Wow, this one should sell quickly at that price & apparent condition.

Right up my alley, but then again I can't afford divorce the attorney fees!

Divorce? Manslaughter charges? DUI?

Inquiring minds.

Weather strip? Huh?

That is a very rare exterior colour.

Standard Porsche upgrade to replace the plastic sleeve that was used to block off the unused rear cam journal on the 87-89. The originals blow out and way too much oil escapes drops the pressure to the point that the lifters clatter....

And your point?

Is this to stop the "two week oil burn" or something else?

Question was about the "galley pins" that was the answer. Does not apply to 85-86 because your camshafts are longer. And I have no information to confirm that oil burning is NORMAL for anything but a GTS. Older dry sump 911s the oil would leak back and flood the sump but 996-997 are wet sump.
