I'm not going to pretend my '82 AT is the fastest car on the road, but it sure has a lot of spirit, especially accelerating from the 40-50 MPH range. I was late for work today, so I was 'hurrying' a little bit with the go pedal. Passed dawdlers like they were standing still.

Plus, with the 50/50 weight ratio, there's no 'lurching' when I hit it hard. There's no adjusting for a massive weight shift, because there is none. Makes for nice, smooth acceleration, all the way to where I can get into some real trouble.

Love driving this car.

After thoroughly going through my car I picked up about 30whp for free. The biggest difference was the WOT switch. Mine was adjusted incorrectly. The car was really lean everywhere up top. Headers, exhaust, cams, and heads account for the other 60whp I have over a stock 4.7L.
