Default Good pics for upholstery options?

I am about to have my front and rear seats rebuilt and upholstered. At first I was going to just make them as they came with the car (black leather) Now I am thinking of a black or grey herringbone
or some sort of a cloth insert with black leather side bolsters.
Has anyone gone this direction? Any pics would be welcome

I have done my son's 1980 seats in black vinyl with a gray and black tweed insert. Also put the gray tweed on the door inserts and recovered the head liner and sun visors with a gray swede looking material actually made for that purpose. Seats Not installed yet. His interior was ALL black and he wanted to break it up a bit.

Thanks Dean
Are the side bolsters black or gray? They look great! I have cloth inserts currently ( set of seats that are from an S4 but have been recovered with vinyl/cloth. I have the original seats. I like the fact that you don't slide around nor
stick to the seat.
Who covered them for you? BTW you have done a great job with not only color choice but all the right details.

Dean while you have the interior lights out get heatshrink and cover all of the exposed ends of all the wires, if the ground breaks off it can touch POS and poof there goes the roof loom , remove the mirrors as well and do them

Barry--heatshrink is a plastic insultating tube (think of the insulation on a wire) that can slip over bare metal and soldered connections; once heat is applied, usually with a mini-hairdryer or a match or other heat source, it shrinks to seal around those items. You cut it to size. You've probably seen it many times and not even realized what it was.
