Default Heater valve question

I figure that there are leaks in my HVAC actuators as none of the settings change where the air comes out. It comes out of all vents. My question is whether the heater valve should work independently of this. Is it on a separate vaccuum line or would these leaks also cause it to not work?

Thanks

Thanks

The valve is closed by vacuum, so if there is no/low vacuum, you will always have heat.

Go to our web site, then tips & links, then Wally's World, then the HVAC paper. It will give you quite a bit of info on the HVAC system, including how to check and repair the vacuum system.
