CE is central electrical panel, basically the fuse and relay holder, located under a flip-up plywood cover across the passenger footwell.

Congratulations!

Take your time and do a lot of research before doing anything. There is a lot of info available on this forum, and dozens of web sites that will give you an unbelievable amount of info. Here is an older site that is a good place to just go and read up on minor repairs.
http://www.nichols.nu/tips.htm

Our web site has a tips and links area that might be helpful - the link is in my signature.

One comment - The ignition system is very powerful, and Porsche has strong words of warning about pulling plug wires. It can seriously damage both the ignition system and you...

Hey Wally,

Thank you for the compliment and the info. I will NOT be pulling plug wires then. I will try the grounds first like Landseer recommended. I will then do more research if it doesnt fix it.

Unhappy

I think it is a great score for that price. But 928's seem to be more expensive north of the border. It seems like an 8K car up here would be classed as a 5K car by most on this forum.

welcome another 84. I fixed my window and sunroof switches with the search here on how to...before buying the switches unless they are broken, they can be fixed.

Hi,

Beautiful car! Congrats!
Maybe a good idea also to replace your “Green Wire”. Just a thought.

Regards

Yea, except that his is an S...notice it has spoilers... OB's don't have those... If he took his spoilers off then his car would be an OB with a bunch of S spoiler mounting holes and an engine .2L bigger than an OB's...

My '84 is awesome...you will love this car! That said, I do prefer the later model seats that arrived in '85. I don't have any exhaust work on my '84, but it still sounds pretty good!

Congrats on your 84...it is great looking...I love the no rub strips look...got an 83 blk without rubstrips...but my 86 red has them wish it didn't... Best of luck and enjoy the many miles of driving it.
