Default Legroom?

I have no idea how to word this, so I'll just try to make sense of it.

I sat in the passenger side of an S4 and there was NO legroom, is there more legroom on the drivers side? I am assuming that the big circuit board/fuse panel is taking up footwell space? Is this true?

If not, how do you guys drive with your knees in your chest? I don't care if my passenger is uncomfortable, as long as the drivers side is comfy...

You should have asked to sit in the drivers seat.......but if you are average size not over six feet two or so you should be fine but there is little extra room.

IIRC the seat rails can be move back a bit to obtain more leg room.

+1 to James comment.

Thanks Andy, That's what I was figuring....

I didn't want to ask someone to sit in the drivers seat of their car, that would be rude. I was happy enough that he let my fat *** sit in his car to begin with.

I'm 6'4" and fit fine in a 928 which is more than I can say for most sports cars (you should see me get in and out of my Esprit). I've heard some who are taller or have long torsos complain about head room, but I don't remember many complaining about leg room.

Some taller people have put on the extended hub steering wheel so they can tilt the seat back more and still reach the wheel. I am really not happy in a sunroof equiped 928 at 6 ft 4 ...

I'm 6'8", 220lbs and fit fine in my manual seats, no sunroof 928. But, add sunroof and power seats and it was not going to work.

Much has to do with how motivated you are to "fit".

If you want legroom for the passenger and still want a porsche, get a 924. I'm 6'1", and there is an incredible amount of legroom in it considering how small the car actually is.

I'm 6ft 2" and fit fine on the drivers side, even with the seat not all the way back. My car has no sunroof and headroom is good. However, when sitting in my friends GTS with a sunroof, no headroom at all, my head is on the roof liner.

6'3" tall. Legroom isn't a problem, but headroom is. The 80 I owned had no sunroof. Deleted the sunroof in the 94. T

Same here 6'-4" leg room not an issue. Head room is a little tight. Very comfortable overall.
