Default Help! Burnt lead of HVAC control unit ('82)

Hello,

Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

One of the traces on my HVAC control unit burned up when I switched it to defrost.

Do you think its worth it to try to soldier a wire to it and see if I can get it working again?

Thanks!

You probably better figure out why so much current went through the trace that it fried it. I think you could fix that trace after that.

they can be repaired. i believe 928 international does repair them if you are not up for trying yourself. i believe there are some previous discussions on this topic if you do a search something should be available.

good luck.
