Default Anyone bringing their 928 to the PVGP in Pittsburgh in July?

I'll be visiting family and get to attend this for the first time; looking forward to connecting with some other sharkholders at the Porsche corral. Porsche is the Marque of the Year at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.

It was always a great time. We used to get 10 or so sharks on Saturday, and a few less on Sunday. Had 928OC sponsorships for it too. We then would do a fun run Saturday afternoon. I was the principal organizer, but I'm not sure who does it now. The Porsches are all grouped together, and the sharks will be with them. Expect to see over 200 p-cars, of all stripes and vintages. I wish I could be there for it this year especially! If you go, take lots of pictures and post up here.

I plan on bringing my 928 to the Cruise at the Waterfront July 19th. I may bring it to the Schenley Park Show on the 23rd but I'm not sure.

ARPCA is trying to get up 1000 Porsches there that weekend. Looks like a great time!

Hi Rick - got your pm. I'll call you later this week/weekend. There isn't that much work in organizing things. Just some emails. Once the ball gets rolling, it goes well.

Anyone else attending the Pittsburgh Vintage Gran Prix and car show this weekend? PORSCHE is the featured marque this year.

Putting this out there, last minute.

Myself and another 928 owner (Deantec) from RL will be meeting for breakfast at the Eat n Park at the Waterworks Mall tomorrow at 8:00 am. Then heading off to Schenley Park. Anyone interested is welcome to join us!

Your killing me here........we sort of can get it here but you better know the deli guy real good (get a chopped ham and ask very nicely to shave it as thin as they can) but sorry it is not the same.....ham salad samich's toooooo, chipped ham (my mouth is so sad right now), Isaly's ice cream bars in the 1950's on Sundays.

Very hard to find deep fried mushrooms also......only one place here I know of.

My grandmother gave me a recipe for chipped ham bbq. probably from the early, early days in the area. I'm thinking pre ww2. They lived in Valencia in a 100 year old house up on a hill. 100 years old when I was a kid. Love that memory. I have to leave this is too much..........yinz go red up your room or u get the switch. yinz can pick out your own switch.

Here's a saying we used when we were kids. I'm pretty sure it can only be a Pittsburgh thing. Do you guys know what it means when someones says to you "Kennywoods open" ? (I forgot about it until I saw this on the bathroom door at Eat n Park.)

Great time at the PVGP today. VERY VERY HOT AND HUMID!!! I'll post some pictures soon.
