That one has been floating around for a few years. It was owned by someone in Woodstock a few years ago that imported it and lost interest. He came on Rennlist and was contemplating parting it. It was sold to a young fellow in Toronto. His story was he found out he couldn't afford to insure it. PM Bigal1 he has checked that car out in person.

From what I remember it has timing belt water pump recently and it is an 86.5 with the big brakes. The paint is shot and needs quite a bit of interior work.

Sounds like a money pit...

I sent the guy an email, awaiting the reply.

Canada Insurance more expensive? I was quoted 350/year under classic car insurance... Sound about right? (35 years old with no tickets)

Overpriced insurance may stomp the brakes of my 928 search. I pay too much as it is with 4 cars, 2 16 year olds and a boat it's about 1500 every 6 mos...

Yep, saw that one twice before finding mine. Send me an email address on PM and I can send more pics and details.

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll pass on this one.

Trip, remember, importing a car from Canada has it's difficulties. Better to look stateside.

Since it was sold as U.S car it is not a problem. I think all you need is the recall letter from Porsche and they charge a small duty (0.03-0.05%) duty at the border.

If it was a Canadian spec car it would be a hassle..
