They want me to place an order - I have an account with them - pay in full for the covers up front and then wait 3 months for them to make them.
Not the way I do business - sorry.
I am pretty sure that is why Pelican have none either.
Sounds like an opportunity for Paul Champagne and Rob Budd! They'd be the NICEST fender covers ever...

I checked my receipt for covers and found I got them from Rick Heaney ... but he's out of business. It's a pity, as he also made a shifter boot which I think Roger and Paul C were buying, and the quality of those and the covers were really good.

Let me call Cover Craft and see what I can do.

It's not the money - I have the money - it's the principle.

These are the nicest fender covers I have ever seen, and I have seen a few sets of them.

They are stupid money, but if you use them a lot I think they are worth it.
IIRC it was about 500 for the set of three.
Guy up in Canada makes them, takes months to get them, but wow are they top notch.

Do you mean $500 for 1 set of three pieces or for 3 complete sets. If it's the latter, price is not all that bad. They should do look very nice though.

IIRC it was around 500 for all three.
They have magnets in them, which does not really help on a 928 and the fleece part can be washed, and that is a big plus.
The fabric is a very high quality rubberized tent/demin kind of stuff.
They fold up small and the magnets hold them together, over all a really nice set.
The only addition I could think of would be to have metal plates put in like the ones Roger sold along the fender area.
And this guy will do that I am sure if you ask him to.

I do want to say that the ones Roger was selling are also very nice, and you can not beat the price on them.

Greg,

I think I misunderstood you... You have all 3 covers on your car in pictures, right? That answers my question - a set is 3 covers and is $500.

P.S. I've seen Roger's cover last year at our NJ gathering. They are indeed very nice and I was kicking myself for not jumping on the last group buy that was posted here (not sure if it was group buy or pre-order from Roger).

Long discussion with CoverCraft about their business conditions and the fact that they lost about 200 sales of service covers over the last 16 months since they purchased Colgan.

Maybe have a way forward soon.

I waited about a year for a set from 928Spec, but no dice. With my TB job pending, I made a set.

Got some tent/tarp material, cut out the shapes, sewed some velcro squares onto it, then used some old mattress covers as the soft underliner -removeable with velcro for washing. They worked great and cost me mothing but my time, since all the materials were free.
