Question 928 International Rear Muffler Bypass Pipe Exhaust Tip Size

It looks like I'm due to replace the tips on my 928 International RMB. There is rust building on the bottom of the tips. I don't have a tape measure handy , but it looks like these 3" diameter tips are pretty damn long. I would say at least about 16".

I am thinking of using Ansa Silverline tips that have a resonator built in, but they are over 22" long. I think that may be too long to fit under there and it may look stupid sticking the tips out any further than where the RMB's tips sit originally.

Anyone have an RMB preferrably from 928 Intl that they can measure the length of the tips for me please? If it matters, mine has the dual slash / slant cut tips. Thanks!

The tips are 9.5" and 6.5" top and bottom. That's the tip section only.

Crap. Sorry I just realized there are 2 versions. The new version has smaller tips and is mandrel bent. I have the old school version mated up to my custom exhaust.

If anyone has the measurements of the first gen RMB from 928 Intl lemme know. Thanks!

That looks like one from Mufflex not us. Ours have flat hangers with holes to utilize the factory mounting hangers.

I have your RMB Mark. I just can't find the actual picture of mine. The one above was from jorj's page. What was the length of the tips on your first gen one? I know mine are really long.

Hey Andy,

I have one of Mark's. I can measure it when I get home if you still need the numbers.

No worries. I have it. The exhaust tips on the first gen are 18". I guess I can't use anything larger than an 18" resonated tip. I'm looking to mellow the exhaust note just a tad, then unhook my cats.
