Anyone got photos of or a link to what edges (around trim, doors and jambs, under side of hood, etc.) look like?
Even the side marker lights are wrapped ! Dinsdale also used a few different shades of the carbon fiber wrap on the trim, hatch surround and hood. T

I asked for a quote from the local Avery Dennison dealer....$1500. Beats $5k plus I guess. Am wondering if AD can supply custom colors. Any thoughts matte vs gloss? Matte venetian blue?

I think I might go this route when the bodywork is done on my car. Tempted to find a color similar to the original color, but then I'd have red jambs :/

Would it be possible to wrap the wing on an S4 and have it look decent. Not a big fan of the grained rubber-like finish.

Just a thought, but i dont know how well it would work/look

Since your car a has rubstrips, you could remove them and have the holes filled and smoothed...wouldnt necessarily have to be painted.. I would imagine the surface under the wrap material should be fairly free of imperfections or they would show through though??

What are the limitations on that? anyone know? Small rock chips on the hood and front bumper often leave little "paint chip divots". Does a wrap cover this with out one being able to see the impression of the "divot/chip" underneath?

Same question applies to the rear wing also....is there too much texture to get a smooth result?

If you keep the strips i think it would be a tough area to make look good. I would assume the wrap should go under the strip and between it and the body. .....and on the rub strip it should also go around it and wrap under it where it meets the body...is there clearance for this?

The pictures of the 928 shown looks great, obviously the curves aren't the stopping point i though they would be? but obviously i have other questions.

Ive only see one wrap done on a 928, while it was great quality.....well.....it....uh... just "bares" not showing again.

Hi Tony, I'm going to do this on the onion (gold 86.5) no rub strips.
Also I've been told you still need a smooth surface.
Not sure how it would stick to the textured surface of wing / spoiler.

You really need to prep it like it was going into the paint booth because imperfections will show. Buy a small quantity and try wrapping a headlight cover-not easy. Worth it to bring in a pro. Heck, check out to see if cpayne will do it. T
