Default Into the sunset...

Capt Earl has decided to hang up his wrenches and fade into the 928 twlight. Spoke him yesterday in hopes of him adopting my 928 which is need of a TB/WP. Said after a lot of thought has decided to give up his 928 clinc and focus on family and his $50 GTS......great guy first time I had spoken to him and we talked for 30 minutes.....now to find someone legit for my TB/WP WORK!!!

What am I missing? How is concentrating on your GTS, fading into the 928 twilight and hanging up your wrenches?

From what I understand it is going to be very hard to find a mechanic of Earls quality.
His name always comes up as one of the few guys in the NE to have work on a 928.

Like if you hung your tools up in CO.

I think that "worf928" may have been doing work on 928s for people at one time, and is located somewhere in that part of the country. Maybe get in touch with him and see what he says.

Earl is one of the best 928 savvy mechanics I know and this decision must have been a tough one.
He is a great asset to the 928 community. Though he may be stopping working on 928’s I am sure he will be around with his own cars and still joining in with the community.

Crawling around and under a 928 a young man’s vocation. I had to give it up and learn to drive a computer. I have Sean as my 928 Guru. I am a lucky guy.

David Chamberland is another great 928 savvy technician/mechanic. He will help you out I am sure.

Pretty sure that Dave C has his hands full, got a real job and has a long waiting list.
But he is the other name that seems to come up a lot in that part of the country, and Zuess +, but I have no idea what happened to Paul, not heard a peep out of him in a long time.

I hope Earl is doing well, and hope this is not true... He rebuilt my a/c in '08 and even that job is pretty physical and not much fun. Earl is an awesome guy.

Dave C is a busy guy these days, I had to do a power steering hose and tb/wp job myself last year; he usually does those things for me. I was very spoiled...

The New England contingent is large. I didn't realise this until last year's Boston Sharks Party.

If Earl is out, and Dave is ocupado, who's going to pick up the gaunlet?

If you meant the proberbial "You", I get it. But dude, I live in Virginia. Not too much help for the north shore boys.

Local to me are no gurus. Just a few of us owners making a go at it.
