Ugly antenna might be for car phone. Early types used really big antennas and they had to be located high up for best possible signal.

That was likely the car of a German 928 Club member.

They participate in a variety of events every year.

Was this there? May be from an earlier Essen - other than "Essen" couldn't decypher the Japanese text on this website.

don,t think that one was there.there was only two in the whole show that i found anyway.the one with the roof aerial was grey.the other one was upstairs cant recall the colour.both were near flawless condition.makes you wonder there was about 80 911,s and two lonely sharks, sums it up mefinks.

There were three: a blue metallic GTS and the S4 you saw were bith upstairs. And the one on the club stand, which looked mint. Still not many compared to the überload of 911's.
Oh, and there was one more in the parking P5: a black 1984 S2 5speed, mine. Great fun on the autobahn getting to Essen.
Two years ago the german 928 club was there. Nice bunch of friendly people.

hi leo, i knew there would be at least one from here that made it to the show.i,d say the autobahn was interesting to say the least.got to get mine over there one year just to stretch its legs.we got a taxi from dusseldorf to the show and back to the airport it was an eye opener, taxidrivers drive flat out everywhere!not sure thats even an autobahn between the to places but they treated as one.way to many 911,s present at the show. half that amount would be plenty, and leave room for something different.did you car have a price on the screen?

No, I have been improving it over the laat year and it is now a semi-daily driver. Too much fun to sell it just now that it is finally driving as it should. But i may sell it over time as my heart is with italian stuff primarily. But i wanted something fast and safe at the same time.
