Hi friends.
The dash of my 89 is made of vinyl. It has not the plastic vent trims in the defrost holes. Can I install them in my vinyl dash or they are only for leather dashes?
Thank you very much

The trim parts used in the earlier cars will fit BUT you have to remove the vinyl and pad enough to allow the part to click on. I have done this on a 88 dash I am covering and putting in my son's 1980 car. I will try to post pics of what the 2 look like and how to modify your dash to accept the snap trim.
I think the intention was for them to just be used on the leather covered early dashes.
www.Hookedoncars.com sells a overlay that may work if your just trying to cover some cracks at the edges of the vents.
