yea, cops said they hit the whole neighborhood.strange that the central locking never unlocked the rest of the car until i opened the door.i'm assuming if the lock is popped with out the key it will not activate.along with that was cigarrette ashes all inside the car after i spent all day sat detailing the interior.crack head scumbags.

Its NJ. Its how they roll.

Next time you get locked out, make a couple random calls to the 201 or 973 area codes. You'll find a thinking partner.

I'm guessing somewhere along the years the anti-theft panel got removed and discarded. Its pretty common for people to leave them out.

Nahhh...that's not it.... for that you woudn't pry the top corner of the door frame.

He didn't say top corner. Reads to me like it was the corner just above the lock ****.

I suspect he means they pushed something downwards through the scraper seal and popped the lock ****, which is exactly what the security plate prevents unless using the correct special tool (the question-mark shaped one).

Or... they pried the door at the top, put an air bag in there and bent the door to make a large enough gap, then reached in with something and turned the ****. If you think a 928 door does not bend, you are very much mistaken as I have seen this done with my own eyes.

Out of curiosity, did the alarm go off?

I had a break-in attempt on my 86.5 while parked at the airport, they tried the same lower corner on the driver's side, but the theft shield stopped them....glass got scratched but car was intact

Cheers!

Since bad things happen in 3's, you've got one more "event" before you're in the clear.
