Default Strosek 968 wheels et65

Hi,

found these for sale. Seller claims thay are 7,5*17ET65 and 9*17ET55

Sounds just perfect for a 928? Better than the et50 "928-Strosek" wheels?!?!

Am I not getting something here?

Why is the Strosek wheel for 928 et50 while the 968 wheel is et65?

Aren't the 928 strosek fronts 8"? Still, I'd buy those 968 ones in a heartbeat, if they're not insanely expensive.

Strosek phone dials look cool I've been admiring adam's for a while (rennlister "atb").

As Hilton says, 928 sets have 8" or 8.5" fronts. 7.5" is little narrow but if you are happy with 225 wide front tires then they are perfect as you can even adjust them outwards with thin spacers if you want to.

Extremely unlikely that they cause any problems. Only thing which comes to mind is if you have GTS front calipers they might need small spacer to clear them. Even this is unlikely.

Porsche recommends 225s in the front of the 928

They did 20 years ago. There has been some tire development done since then. They can't recommend anything newer since they haven't tested it and original factory wheels were designed to work with 225's.

Last year someone was selling 928 Strosek wheels on Ebay. Wish they would be relisted - I almost pulled a plug on them last year, probably would have bought them now...
