To your question:
To which you responded:
This was after Giovanni stated:
In response to Fortuna's question:
So.... since we are obviously not keeping track of what is being stated and asked -you essentially asked if it was a good price for a bare block and thinking it runs.

No affiliation, I don't know the owner or car. Car is an S4, not a GT as stated in the ad. Owner is wanting $3200. 160K miles, a/c not working, cracked dash, tb/wp done by PO (2 yrs ago). It crossed my mind to buy the car and part it out but it is too much of a hassle (BTDT). I can look at the car if you are seriously interested. PM me.

I always marvel at those folks that can speed-read and understand 100% of everything written... you on the other hand, may be around the 40-50% range.

I got that much. But I didn't quite get where we started talking about bare blocks. And I'm still interested in $400 Porsches.

Re-read the entire thread... slowly.
Giovanni has a $400 bare block in his shed because Fortuna also thought it was he that was parting out the Craigslist car... Fortuna wants just the bare block.
It is quite easy to follow along when the quotes are in the specific posts being answered.
BTW, I'll sell you a $400 Porsche... it is 1/18 scale, which is right on the money for the full size version.

I got my 944 before that for $550 and it had a huge dent in it and I learned all about cars restoring it (kind of) and sold it as a real car that won't be parted. (for a while at least)

I can see a photo block?
Can I know the block number?
If it is not difficult to Giovanni

I e-mailed this guy a few times. He types in abbreviations which is really annoying, and doesn't give much information at all, no matter what you ask. Won't even give me any pictures.
He said he would give it to me for $3,000.
