Have my Car listed on E BAY, I listed the car as 928 S Euro, imported from Germany, with its WPOZZZ92ZFS841403 VIN number
the car has an import tag on the drivers side door jam, one non believer wrote
Hi, if this car was imported from Germany then why does the Speedometer have MPH (Miles per hour) listed? I am from Germany and we have always had Kilometers. Also, why don’t you list the VIN number? Thanks, Pete
I would assume the answer would be, to conform with USA import standards the cluster was changed to or converted to MPH. Any one know the answer.
Thanks Steve

They can silk screen mph numbers on the EURO speedo if the importer wants to do it that way (I know of one GTS imported like that) or they can just switch out the whole cluster which is the more common practice. RI (Registered Importer) switched mine out and then after I took full delivery of the car I put the factory EURO cluster back in... Real PITA to convert from KPH to MPH on the fly I might add...Wish I had been the one who thought to just silk screen mph numbers in light gray on the speedo... Oh well! So, I use my GPS, it always reads my current (and correct) speed and even tells me what the speed limit is on most of the roads I am on, so I can see by how much I am exceeding the posted limit! LOL!
