I have seen seats identical to Dean's in an '80 Euro, local to Santa Barbara. They are not sport seats. The entire interior is done is Pascha, so I highly doubt that they were changed to that by some previous owner. Perhaps it's a Euro thing?

The bottom cushion sticks out forward beyond the side boosters. Please correct me if I am wrong but this is what I have seen and learned since the late 70s lusting over the 928. Does the USA 928 have different sport seats than the rest of the world?
I will be going to Chuck's site to dig out some pics.

In 1981 the Euro nonS 928 came with the 911 seats pictured in this thread. We've had this discussion before, and Nicole dug out a 1981 brochure, showing the 911 seats inthe 928. I had them in my 81 too, the one in the avatar.

So... Euro vs. US? That must be why they look foreign. LOL.

Ah, that makes more sense. My 81 has factory manual sport seats.

Here is the seats from my 1982 competition packaged car I use to have and these. You can see the difference here..and the similarities. I see very little if any difference in the bolster size...that indicates early sport seats.
