Putting my 86.5 back together after paint....trying to figure out a way to replace the metal mounting tabs on the underside of the spoiler that have rusted away.
The rest of the spoiler is in excellent condition so I would like to not have to replace it.

I was thinking about getting some type of dense plastic and cutting small blocks to fit where the mounts were, and gluing them in place, then run a screw from the inside of the hatch up into the plastic block.

I know this has to be a common problem, but I can't really find any solutions in the search.

Interested to see what you guys have done to solve this.
