M455 Wheel locks
M468 Graduated tint windshield, green side glass
M471 Sport group 1 = Competition package = S model spoilers

PET is somewhat stupid system. Some option are listed with I and it can't find what they mean. When same code starts with M it will find it. I codes are probably part of some package and thus they have different letter.

What do you do for a pre '81 vin code? My vin does not have the extra letters and I have yet to find a way to decode it. I believe my car was originally delivered in Canada. The Vin Decoder lists it as a euro with a 4.7 l engine, but it is not based on the engine code and the owners manual that came w/ it. The vin code is....

'80 MY 10 digit long VIN can be converted to 17 digit long VIN. In case of 92A0910417 its WP0ZZZ92_A0810417 if second 9 is actually 8. Using that 17 digit VIN in PET gives following options:

C36 Canada
M261 Passenger side mirror electric plain
M389 Porsche-car radio, CR stereo, type USA
M401 Light metal wheels
M490 Hi-fi sound system
M533 Alarm system
M900 Tourist delivery

So its normal 4.5L 5sp North American model originally sold in Canada and picked up from Stuttgart by the first owner. Probably was driven pretty fast at autobahns before it was shipped to Canada.

Decoder messes up early MY stuff pretty badly. It thinks all '80-82 ROW cars have 4.7L engine. With typo in VIN it seems to think US model is ROW also.

It has been in list of unknown codes for long time. One suspicion is that it means Bridgestone tires. Some '89-90 GT's have it while others do not.

M261 Passenger side mirror electric plain
M401 Light metal wheels
M437 Comfort seat left, electrically adjustable
M438 Comfort seat right, electrically adjustable
