Where are you from?

You might need a second car, say, an early 90's Silverado.
Could make life easier.

Texas, where it also has its share of rocket scientists. But never like this.

You would think so.... but read what I wrote about getting parts for my '94 F-150.

it's unbelievable.

Red flag number 2... the person you are trusting your car to won't talk to you as they "know what they are doing" Leave immediately.
Yes, and that's the part that has me most annoyed. Since I should have been more pro-active and just not continued. But, I had already paid them and in a sick sort of way, I wanted them to finish the job...I was entitled to that much, having paid them for it.

In the future, I will most likely not try to economize like this or succumb to the desire to help local businesses. I will just have to protect myself first. Period.

All very sage points from very smart people. Thanks.

People getting phone calls from Yelp asking to become an advertiser to "manage" bad reviews.

Alignment is done....Sears did an excellent job. The tech has done 928's before and gave me a rundown on what he found, reset to zero, etc. They did not unload the suspension and took it for a test-drive to verify it all was correct. Inasmuch as the wheel cost me, the alignment was $74 with a six-month window to bring it back if I experience any problems. Nice people. Smart and understood every word I said.

I have to thank the smart people at Rennlist for the discussion regarding alignments and especially the suggestion to try Sears. I looked over their machine, of which they have two and it really is a nice item. The tech was a very knowledgeable guy and covered all my questions before I could even ask. Car drives great, rides better, even. Tracks straight, no fight, nothing. Steering is as I remembered on my '87 but by comparison with the last few months, feels much lighter and responsive. Thanks Rennlist members! Money well-spent.
