Pictures!!

After quite a few years of driving five-speed 928s, I demonstrated that reverse really is synchronized and that you could shift into reverse during a spirited drive at STIM...
The folks following me said that it was a tense couple of seconds when the back-up lights came on at about twenty mph - luckily I realized what I had done as soon as the clutch touched, so no harm, no foul.

Oh that dog-leg 1st!

After awhile it'll be second nature. And you'll come to love it.

It should be quite disturbing to see the back-up lights light up on the car in front of you at 20 mph or so!
They probably asked themself: What the f... is going on here???

Only thing I ever hated about my 928's ( 87 and 88 S4's ) when I owned them was the 2nd gear start for the Auto trans. I couldn't stand it. Yes, I knew about it kicking down and all that or putting it in 2 off the line, but the whole thing just annoyed me to no end. Why make a car start in 2nd gear? Ugh. Other than that one little irking thing I never had anything else I didn't like.

I'd like to get a GTS 5 speed one day. I'm in an 06 Mustang GT right now. I really enjoy it too.

Another Rennlister at our Peachstate Dyno Day reacted pretty quickly when he noticed the dyno operator start off in reverse in his supercharged S4 on the first dyno run of the day. I'm not sure what would have happened when he shifted from reverse to first with it strapped to the dyno. Luckily we didn't find out.
By the way, which tires did you get? I just put Michelin PS2s on the Saudi Car last Friday and I'm liking them heaps so far.
