Holy old pictures batman! That was a good couple of days for sure!

Stan, I'm so very appreciative of your offer. I still can hardly believe that the car is in my garage! IT's so little next to the Cayenne!

James, I think Erik's car and mine are similar but his is Oak and mine is Moss. How many other greens are there? Amazon is the only other one that I can think of. Oh wait, Signal!

What happened to the Red one you were all over before?

Did I miss the story on that one?

Oh, yea...I forgot yours is Moss...I like them both really...Moss and Oak green along with signal and Pearlglanz (think last US GTS) and the Kermit greens are ALL great in my book. Never been a fan of Amazon though for some reason. I think like pick a color, be a green or be a blue, but don't try and be both! LOL!

Congrats, Jon! Also congrats to James since if Jon ever wants to sell it, it would be his!
On that year. there are the Moss Green and the Crystal Green which is very similar to the Thistle Green of MB. Porsche sometimes have the same names for different colors. The Oak Green for the Canadian market is darker than the Oak Green of the USA. The Iris blue of the 1980's is certainly an entirely different blue to the 1990's Iris Blue.
Of course one could order ANY green for his/her Porsche.

That is very interesting. When I repainted my car, I bought the paints at a well-known store that had numerous referrals from the pros. The green they sold me was just a bit more olive-colored that the original color, which was a bit more evergreen-ish.

Maybe they sold me US oakgrun, instead of the (original) Canadian oakgrun.

Also I think Jon B. is heading for a ban here pretty soon...

Probably my mistake. They might be the same color but just variations of cameras.
Then again the Oak Green dated back to the 1970's and might not be the same color in the 1990's
The above is the USA Oak Green in 1991, so I was told.

Sorry guys, didn't get any pictures today. Though I could get a couple in the garage really quick. I was working on getting an AUX cable hooked up and running it and the USB cable it already had into the center console. I actually have only dusted the car off since getting it home so it's not super clean either. Now i've got SUPER tunes!

Let me run back out there and see what I can come up with.

Forgot to mention that James can't have this car if I ever need to part with it. It's a 5-speed!

Tony, thanks man. I need to blow it apart like your car is now to make the paint 100%. But I really am liking it's character at the moment. I really don't mind the little blemishes and dings and stuff that much.

Probably stems from me liking "survivors" more than restored cars.
