I drive the pins out of the door hinges with very little damage, Just use a good quality punch of a small diameter and a small sledge hammer.

Went back today and pulled:

Door glass (already have someone here interested)
window motors
door locks
latch hinges (not broken!)
passenger side wiring harness
AC blower motor
driver's seat
Misc other small stuff

Not sure how much of a market there is for these seats, with cracked and torn leather, so thinking about just making a set of garage chairs out of them. If anyone has any ideas on this, let me know. Not nice enough for inside the house.

Do have some room, and have a shed to help store some stuff as well, but would like to get rid of the larger items. Need a rear bumper cover? Never know when you may need it!

I got the passenger mirror, but the driver's side was missing the glass, and was pretty beat up so I left it.

 

How are the door window seals?

cracked or missing, didn't get any good glass seals. This car had really cooked in the TX sun a long time. More cracks in the dash and pod than I've ever seen.

 

You clearly haven't seen MY dash lately...

 

Ripping one apart is a great way to learn how things are put together. If you disconect the strippe dout seat gear, you can put the cables into a cordless drill and slowly move the seat to get the bolts exposed. It takes a little time but unless the rails are jammed, it wil work.

 

That's exactly what I did when I went back Sunday (chordless drill). One of the locals from the trailer park was very impressed, although he was still depressed from when I broke the news that the car was not all aluminum and he was not going to be set for life when the car heads to the recycler.
