Here is the ad,

http://www.thomasandsoninc.com/iFram...page=INVENTORY

Passenger side front fender is missing the vin sticker.

Miles and price are high unless it has been WELL serviced.

I would look at Micksters car for under $6k,

Neither the miles or the price are high on that one..... and the passenger side vin is plainly seen. The engine bay does need some attention though.

The vin sticker on the body panel not the vin plate. I think in this market a buyer can do better.

If you want Black check out this one,

Thanks guys. I know the milage is a bit high. Not for the yr but for milage in general. I have seen it in person up close, but they were closed at the time. The paint looks really good and all the body lines seem straight. I was gonna go in and see how much i could talk him down. Also he used to have it right up front, and now it is sitting at the back of the lot. Either someone put a deposit on it, but the girl in the office said that was not the case, or it has something wrong with it and they pulled it from view. If this is the case maybe i can get it for a better price if the problem is fixable. Mostly curiosity since i would have to talk the fiance into me having 2 of these cars. lol

Hey Chris:
Since you're on that coast and in the market I assume you've seen this one> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT on eBay. Have you looked at it?
I was going to drive over this weekend to check it out, but if it's a dog I won't bother.
JB:
About the white one. I was going to pass on it because it's in NY, but if you know the car can you tell me anything about it? I won't bid against Chris if he's interested.

None of the sources work with '78-79 MY. Info is not available anywhere else than in Porsche certificate.

No need to worry about bidding against me. That one looks very nice, but im not really ready to pick something up quite yet. I appreciate the heads up though.

For the black car posted figure atleast 2500.00 for the top end refresh, thats if you do the work or 4000.00 if you have someone else do it.
Make sure to check the flex plate and check crank end play,
also consider the AC system will be getting ready for a refresh as well and with rear air thats more things you have to replace
