Did this used to be Steve Pappins car? And maybe you don't want to answer the question but--is it a 5L?

You guys have a good memory. The car is just as it was when it left Steve's place 5 years ago. It has been a garage queen, and the wife and I have only put 17,000 miles on it during that time.

It looks beautiful, and the price seems out of this world low for a such strongly enhanced example.

Can you explain what this means, and what the benefit is?

The transmission has Mercedes AMG hardened planetary gears for durability against the hot rod motor. There is a transmission kickdown relay bypass switch that lets the car pickup lower gears and hold on to them longer. Great for street racing, 928's have tall gearing 2:54 final drive in this car.
This car is a whole different experience from driving a stock S4.
