fire wrap on trans lines?

Default fire wrap on trans lines?

while i have my trans out someone suggested to use a fire wrap on the cooler lines.do i need it?

A # of car fires have come from trans lines leaking/etc and catchin fire on the exhaust under there.

Cant hurt to add a containment layer to keep heat out, or fluid in some..

Its a great WYAIT thing to do.

Spend the money on new hoses, route them correctly and check that exhaust has heat shields.

those lines look like there one piece all the way to the cooler.who sells them?

the origional line has rubber hose but you cant find that, so use fire hose shield which is usually orange

I bought the Porsche parts from Roger, but any 928 supplier here can get them.
You could probably makeup your own or have a hydraulic specialist make a new set from your fittings.
