Default Anyone have an RMB laying around they are not going to use?

Since I heard Charles Payne's 87, I have been wanting to get one for mine. I would love to find one at a good price. Sorry to be cheap but this thing has really hit the wallet this month. This is for the 88s4.

Thanks,

You will LOVE it on the '88! Barks MUCH nicer than the '87's! I love it on my '88...just about PERFECT! Could be a touch louder even, but it sure sounds nice.

Thanks James, I just heard from Greg B. Hopefully we can work it out. Can't wait.

I'll have one available in a month or so. I'm putting my GT muffler back on after the X-pipe gets installed.

True. For the non-stainless steel variety. The SST examples are +$200.

Thanks guys, Looks like I am getting one from Greg Brown. I can't wait to get this thing back together and drive it for a while.

No cats, big resonators and a RMB does sound about right, pretty quite when it needs to be and what a wonderful sound it makes when you get hard on the throttle.

The same setup with small resonators is a bit to loud for me.

Love my RMB on my otherwise stock '88. Should have installed it much sooner.

Ed, I am with you! I even had a king of exhaust sound (a Mustang owner) tell me he LOVED the sound of my S4! LOL!!!

Greg EURO85 would be way to loud for you now...I am still trying to decide if I should tone it down a bit. I think it would be pretty easy by replacing the current mid mounted muffler with a nice little Flowmaster 20...then it would sound about like my race car...I like that one!

Can anything be done with the mufflers on an '85? I've searched and searched (at least I feel like I have) and have come up with nothing. Need to keep the cats in California, but would love to get a little more of a V8 rumble.

A pipe could accidentally hit the cats over and over...

You can have someone do a custom dual setup for your car. I know the '86.5 has one from the factory. Perhaps Roger or Carl's exhaust system will work for you; or you can even take your car to a good exhaust shop and they can build one up for you. I as well as another Rennlister on here know a place close to Napa if you decide to go that route.

velo...call Mark and buy his RMB (Rear Muffler Bypass ). Either the used one he mentioned above for $100 or a new one...he has both. It's the easy (and inexpensive) way to get the sound you desire. Best $100 you ever spent.

Quick Reply: Anyone have an RMB laying around they are not going to use?
