Default Replacement Injectors (voting)

What is the best plan to replace injectors. Should I use the factory replement units or go with other strategy (the larger ford ones, etc.)

i replaced the set on my 88' S4 with 19lb Ford units w/ Porsche metric o-rings from 928sRUS. Works perfect. You could always upgrade to the 24lb units as well.

Default 24Lb Injectors?

Does the 24 LB injectors provide any advantage for an NA car? Or is it good to do in anticipation of boost?

go with a set of fords and new orings. I put 19# on mine this summer when I did intake refresh.

Do not do rebuilds! If you have to ask why.........

Not unless you're planning on additional aspiration and/or big cams. Otherwise, the 19# units will take care of most of the normal mods.

Is there a link to that seller or was it a one-off deal.

IIRC, this was the seller? Was a thread about it before..

For the OP - its only worth the hassle of upgrading to 24lb's on an S4-onwards if you plan to do serious power modifications to beyond 330 or so rwhp (i.e. more than an X-pipe). I say hassle because you'd need to get your chips re-mapped with a sharktuner to take account of the larger injector size, so it costs more $$ than just the injectors.

If you're going to supercharge then 24lb's likely won't be enough (Murf Stage III comes with 42lb I believe?)

That's where I sourced my 19# units from. The shipping was a bit slow, but the units were in very good shape.

Just put my ford 19#ers in yesterday. Finished up today with new fuel pressure regulator and damper. The car rus so well and so damn quiet that you literly can't hear it run. I have an RMB on the way. Quiet cars are nice but this is just too damn quiet. I just can't express the difference in the car. That being said, I am going to have my origionals rebuilt in order to replace them at some later date. I did buy mine on ebay and they were shipped promptly.

Best of luck,

Frank, was it a "rebuilt" Ford set? What did you do for seals?
32V is a smooth sled, isn't it.
