Car sitting too low -> front suspension removal
(928s euro '84)
My car is sitting too low. I occasionally hit my S spoiler on the street if I go over a road bump too fast. So I have to drive so slow that those normal cars driven by normal people are right behind me Which is uncool.
So I measured the height it's about 140mm left front and 150mm right front with someone in the drivers seat (lhd). So I'm thinking let's go up 30mm both sides! Rear was about 175mm both sides by the way.
So I get my trusty C-hook that I used on the rear before and start turning the front suspension adjustment nut to the right. After 10 turns nothing happened. ****. Same story on the other side. Apparently the threaded ring is stuck on my adjuster nut of my Bose springs, see picture 40-44 below. Tried some tricks, no luck. Long live this forum for a solution: I ordered an exhaust expander, see bottom picture, which will hopefully get hold of the inner threaded ring after I remove the suspension.
Two questions. Tomorrow is the day. I have a track rod puller, unfortunately I do not have a press-out tool, see picture 40-1. Can I remove the upper ball joint with a track rod puller?
And it says on picture 40-36 to unscrew the nuts on the upper control arm from inside the engine compartment. My other question, is that really necessary in order to remove the suspension? It doesn't seem so easy to get access to those nuts.
I can lend an expensive looking spring tensioning device from the shop, so I probably won't die tomorrow.
Does anyone has some other good advice perhaps? Something I overlooked?

before you start buy new front shocks and a new/used adjuster collar that fits the shock tube. The BJ can be levered open after you unscrew the nut,
then a long prybar and press on the stud leave the nut on so you dont damage the threads if its stubborn strike the spindle sharply with a mallet with the prybar being used ,
it will pop open.
You may be able to remove the spring strut from the A arm with out removing it,
but you will have to remove the lower control arm bolts and the swaybar bolts first
