$20.00 paint job
#23
I'm absolutely shocked that the front spoiler (and the lights, side markers, windows, etc.) missed the paint gun!! I think the rear spoiler being painted the body color looks awful, but that is just me. It looks like it was a fairly decent car until someone skimped on a decent respray....too bad.

The rear spoiler sat out in the sun and weather. They didn't want to pull and and have it fall apart. So they filled the cracks, sanded and painted it. Front spoiler is typically out of the sun. Of course, it depends a lot on which end of the cowpatch it was 'stored' in and which way it was parked there.

I don't see what you guys are talking about. The color is beautiful. I mean we are seeing it from a distance. The reflections in the windows kind of throw the color off a bit but it is good.
I mean when was the last time you saw someone do a bad paint job on a Lexus?
Now if the damn rattle canned 928 would get out of the shot we could see things better. I mean really, how can you evaluate that great respray on the RX300 with that Earl Scheib painted 928 in the way.

It is to bad that they ran out of tape when they paint this car but if anyone is interested I will gladly pick the crap out of your 20 year old car when you go to sell it

The point is disclosure.
Doesn't matter if its an individual or dealer.
Bad paint, history wash, quietly deleted superperformance parts, you name it, feel free.
You've just entered the 928 no spin zone.

Yeesh, those side mirrors look horrible with all that color on the rubber. I'm surprised the tires are still black. The interior actually doesn't look too bad, aside from the dashboard which they are not really showing. The paint looks like a supercheap single-stage, too, literally Maaco stuff. But not even Maaco would paint over the mirror rubbers, my god.
