That should be a link to action from last Saturday .... not very exciting , but it was a test for camera equipment and a new navigator ,before we get mad on "proper" stages in about three weeks time.
Enjoy ... and try to stay awake !!!!

Link to You-tube worked for me. Not boring at all, enjoyed it. Looks like parts were on dirt and some on broken or at least bad pavement. What was your time as compared to others?

So many questions ......
Time - very average would be my thought , probably about 25 secs slower than fastest of day (£250,000 WRC Imprezza) , and 15 or 20 secs quicker than slowest. ... I do not consider this proper rallying ..... that takes place in a few weeks time on closed public roads !!
Tyres - For Historic competition here , we must use a 70 series tyres , so choice is limited. here I used a mixture of : Avon CR6ZZ all round (185/70 *15 ... which look like about a 165 !!! , and they we had a Dunlop tyre on the rear , with the Avons on the front .. (Dunlop ... ? D51 or something ... again , same nominal size as the Avon , but at least they look like a 185 tyre) ... probably not the best for this mixture of surfaces ... but it's all I had !
Mirror - took off for last two stages (camera not working .... but managed to break windscreen in the process ... not pleased) ... will be off in the future.
Gear linkage broke after stage one (just at weld at front section of tube - near lever ) , so we made a VERY makeshift repair with a bolt and a pin , to get out again - could only use 2nd and 3rd then , and down changes were very slow ... but in all it was still fun !

Great to watch .. not boring at all. Considering all the close tyre obstacles, which would have caused major grief if you'd hit them ... that was tidy ![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
I also found the rear vision mirror to be a pain as it blocked the view of what was ahead ... maybe different camera position?

Thanks Hilton! Now that's what I'm talkin' about!!!!
Cortina, you have to keep us (well at least me) updated, on your races and results. I would love to know what all went into the race prep as well. What you kept from the original design? What you had to modify to take the car off the tarmac?
Thanks,
