Default rear shock replacement

Been driving around lately and driver side rear fender well sounds like the tire is rubbing; however it isnt. Kind of sounds like a clunk noise as or corner hard or hit a bump. I am thinking the shock needs to be replaced. Anyone have any idea how much the labor should cost to change out a shock if this is indeed the issue?

It should only take an hour or so, but the rates can obviously vary from shop to shop.

However, if it sounds like something is rubbing but it's not, it could be brake related or possibly wheel bearing related. I suppose half-shaft u-joint could also be suspect.

Depending on where you are in Texas, you might consider taking it to "SeanR" here on Rennlist. I think he's in Dallas.

If they've never been replaced, budget for a set. You won't believe the difference in ride.

+ some more, Sean will get you straightened out in no time, plus will let you know what other things your car needs. Make a list and leave it with him for a week, that's the best way if you can work it out ...
